In contrast to a few of the other lamps in lcd projectors, halogen lamps burn at a steady rate and have a consistent brightness throughout the lamp life. Knowing what your lcd projector might be used for will give you a head start on the suggested requirements for the device. Manufacturers do make sure that they cater their prices towards all income levels; if a person can not afford a new one they may be able to afford a used one.
